We know that it may be intimidating to visit a church for the first time. We want to take some time to ease some of the questions or concerns you may have.
Who?
We are Immanuel Baptist Church. We have a strong history of being a church that is centered around the Bible. We are also Baptist. Being Baptist means being on Mission. We believe in the task of spreading the Gospel in our local community and around the World. The Gospel is the greatest news ever to be spread. Our goal is to share it with everybody!
What?
The central theme in any worship service you will attend will be Jesus Christ. He is the object of our worship and the message that we preach.
Expository Preaching - The sermons that are preached at our church are centered around scripture. We will break down what the scripture meant when it was written, to the people it was written to, and we will also apply it to our lives today. We will constantly be going back to God's word throughout our sermons because that it the center of the message of God.
Music - We are people who love to sing. Our music would lean towards the tradition style. But the songs that we sing are rich in scripture and theology. Our music will uplift the name of Jesus Christ.
When?
We come together twice a week as a congregation to gather in teaching and worship. We have them on Sunday mornings at 11 am and Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. We also have Sunday school at 10 am on Sunday mornings before our worship time.
Where?
We are located at 1309 Old Charlotte Road Albemarle, NC 28001.
