Youth Ministry

Christ Centered:

The youth ministry at Immanuel Baptist Church is, first of all, Christ-centered, and Bible-based. It is our desire to see our youth know, love, and worship Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Standing on the promise of God in Isaiah 55:11, we believe that His Word will not return empty. We are committed to teaching teens what the Bible says and what this means in their lives.

Family Based:

Parents are the primary influence in the life of their teen, and we understand that it is our responsibility to come alongside parents in their effort to teach their teen the way they should go. We have an open-door policy and encourage parents to attend any and all youth programs and events.

Ministry Descriptions:

Sunday school for grades 6th through 12th, meets on Sunday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the youth room. This class normally does a complete study through a book of the Bible, so everyone needs to bring a Bible. Recent books studied have been Nehemiah, Ruth, and Proverbs.

Sunday night youth group, for grades 6th through 12th, meets from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the youth room. This time will include Bible study, friendship, games, and snacks. Gospel community is encouraged in our “break out groups,” which are smaller groups of teens gathering together to ask questions about the study and/or just hanging out to get to know each other. This time includes a Bible study, so everyone needs to bring a Bible.

H.O.T. (Hanging Out Together), for grades 6th through 12th, meets on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the youth room. This time is designed as an outreach to allow both churched and non-churched teens to come, hang out, and get to know us. It is our hope to see any non-churched teens attend Sunday night youth group and Sunday school..
