Getting Here

What time are services? We like to have our worship service first, so that is at 9:00 am. After the worship service we have a time of fellowship and enjoy a round of complimentary coffee and snacks. At 10:45 am we have various Sunday Schools throughout the building. We are done and wrapped up around 11:30 am.

How do I get to Immanuel? We’re located right on South Carpenter Avenue right near ShopKo. Click here for directions through Google Maps.

Where can I park? We have reserved parking on both sides of the building and a rear lot. As a visitor we would invite you to park in the visitor parking on the north side of the building..

What happens when I get to Immanuel? Our Information Desk is just inside the main entrance. Our greeters will give you a bulletin and assist you in getting to your class or to the service.

Sunday Programs

What small groups or Sunday School classes are available? A variety of small groups and Sunday School classes are available at 10:45 AM. Check the Adult Education page for more information.

What are the accommodations for the disabled? Immanuel Baptist Church is handicap accessible. An elevator is available for those accessing the second floor from the main floor. Handicap-accessible parking is also available near the main entrance and north side entrance. We also have a hearing assistance program. Our ushers can also assist with any special needs that you may have.

What options are available for infants and toddlers? We have a well-equipped nursery to care for your infants and toddlers.

What children’s programs are available? During Sunday School we have classes for children from birth to 6th grade. Please see the children’s ministry page for more information.

Worship Services

What do I do before the service starts? If you arrive before the service starts, you will notice that our auditorium is filled with plenty of comfortable seats. There are no reserved seats, so you may sit anywhere. Many people will be greeting one another during this time.

What are the services like? Services generally last about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Our worship services are a time of joyful worship and praise, with a focus on congregational worship and expositional preaching. Music could be defined as a good blend of traditional hymns and contemporary songs.

How will I know when to stand? The pastor or the music leader will ask the congregation to stand or sit. However, we want you to be as comfortable as possible. If sitting is more comfortable for you during a standing time please feel free to remain seated.

How long is the service? The worship services are usually 60-75 minutes.

What is the pastor’s message like? Pastor RonĀ gives Bible-based messages lasting 40-50 minutes. His messages are timely and applicable. The messages are posted online for download or streaming. Audio CDs of the message are also available.

Do you give public invitations at the end of the service? What are they like? At the end of his message, Pastor Ron invites anyone who does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to accept Him. This is also a time for personal prayer with God over changes we may need to make in our lives. Counseling is also available for spiritual needs.

Do I need to donate money when I visit? Immanuel Baptist Church does believe giving to the church is a Biblical principle and we do encourage it. However, our guests should not feel under any obligation to participate. We would request that, as a guest, you would fill out an Information card located in the pew, and drop it in the offering plate.

What happens after the service? On Sunday morning, we mix and mingle out in the lobby and enjoy coffee and other items that might be provided. Then around 10:45 AM everyone heads to their respective Sunday School classes.
