Pastor Ron Wolfe
Ron was born in Neosho, Missouri and raised in Penbrook, PA. He began his ministry as a youth pastor and director of Christian education in Parkersburg, West Virginia. From there he became a pastor on Cape Cod for 18 years and is now the senior pastor here at Immanuel Baptist Church since 1991. He has earned a B.S. in Bible from Philadelphia Biblical University, a Masters of Divinity from Eastern Baptist Seminary (Now Palmer Theological Seminary), and a Masters of Arts in Biblical Counseling from The Master’s College. He loves the Steelers and likes to play golf, but most of all he loves shepherding the flock here at Immanuel. Ron and his wife Joan have four grown children and ten grandchildren. Pastor Alex Tunnicliff
Alex was born in Amarillo, Tx and moved to Michigan shortly thereafter. He has lived in many different places in Michigan including Whitmore lake, Kingsley, Traverse City, Manistee, and Benton Harbor. Alex graduated from High school in Cambridge City, IN. He graduated from Bob Jones University in 2008. Upon completion of an internship at Immanuel Baptist Church in Traverse City, MI Alex joined the staff of Napier Parkview Baptist Church in Benton Harbor where he served for two years and met his beautiful wife Melissa. Alex and Melissa both enjoy various sports, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Alex is passionate about the gospel and thrilled to have the opportunity to serve at Immanuel. His desire is to preach to the end that people see Jesus Christ as so much better than everything else that they would gladly give up anything for love of Him. Doug Antonissen, Elder
Doug was born in 1963, in Iron Mountain, and has been a life long resident of Niagara. A 1981 graduate of Niagara High School, he went on to earn a double degree, one in industrial maintenance, and one in tool & die design from WCTI in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Doug has worked serving the tool & die, and machining industry for over 25 years. In 1996 he became owner and president of Priority Machine & Tool, Inc. in Niagara. He has enjoyed marriage to his wife Rae Anne since 1983, and has two daughters, Sarah and Rachel. Spending time with his family is Doug’s favorite hobby, along with ministry, hunting, fishing, or most any outdoor activity. His main ministry is centered on the youth, as he heads up a team of leaders in the youth ministry at Immanuel. He also enjoys doing discipleship, and seeing people come to know, and love Jesus, as Lord of their lives.
Norm Johnson, Elder
Norm was born in Iron Mountain and grew up in Dunbar, WI. He earned his BS from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. He later earned his Masters of Science Education from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, OH under the National Science Foundation Scholarship program. He taught high school for three years at Pulaski High School in Pulaski, WI, then came to Iron Mountain where he taught chemistry & science for 29 years before retiring from IMHS. He enjoyed his career, seeing the young students learn what they needed to carry them on to their careers. He also was assistant coach for the wrestling team. Norm loves hunting & fishing with grandsons, woodworking & gardening. He and his wife Sonja have three adult children and enjoy their eight grandchildren.
Lloyd Pryor, Elder
Lloyd was born in 1928. He was raised in Kingsford, MI, and his wife Carol was raised in nearby Homestead, WI. They both graduated from Kingsford High School in 1946. After graduation he was employed by Wisconsin Michigan Power Co. In 1949 he enlisted in the Michigan National Guard and served for 31 years. He and Carol were married at Immanuel Baptist Church on October 28, 1950, when it was still located on Ludington Street in Iron Mountain. Lloyd has retired from the power company in 1988 after working 43 years. Lloyd and Carol have three sons and nine grandchildren.
Larry Thiel, Elder
Larry was born in Ludington, MI in 1957. He graduated from Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music in 1978 with a diploma in Bible and from Trinity International University in 1980 with a B.A in Psychology. He married the love of his life, Mandy, on Dec 20, 1980. After college Larry worked in Youth For Christ for 2 years and then moved to Kingsford when he went to work for MichCon/DTE in 1982. He has worshiped and ministered at IBC since 1990. Larry and Mandy have three adult children and two grandchildren.
Ed Supa, Elder
Ed was born in 1961. He was raised in Norway, Michigan, where he worked on the family farm and attended the Norway-Vulcan area schools. After graduation from high school in 1979, he worked various jobs in the area until May 1984 when he was hired at We-Energies where he continues to work. He married his high school sweetheart, Holly, on May 14, 1983. They have three adult daughters, whom are a huge blessing. Ed enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, gardening, working his draft horses and their hobby farm. Ed and his family started attending Immanuel in 1999.
